i like that it has detachable light source. that was the first thing i removed. also i removed the 10x smaller piece and used it as a small hand held magnifier.. for the price i'm happy with it.. only comment i would have is that the smaller magnifier be fixed using a nice metal washer and not just in the plastic.. But as you would not need it there's absolutely no reason why not to get this. i'm 40yr and have no glasses that is i see perfectly but this comes in handy..working on smaller things but

You could pay more for a more professional unit and get better quality, but this is good for the price. I use it for repining and working on complex scale models. You can wear your normal glasses when using this.. The light is not as bright as I would like but it is still useful.

3 magnification levels, i use all the time when working on my small quads or soldering pin headers. comfortable clear, minor distortion, acceptable distance from work at second level of magnification.
