I've tried using this receiver in a couple of models. It bound well with a Spektrum DXe transmitter and then to a Spektrum DX8e. I've used it in a Flite Test Mini Mustang - scratch build with a little Tattu 3S battery a powering a BrotherHobby Returner R2 2205 2800KV 3-4S Racing Edition Brushless Motor. Despite my best efforts I wasn't able to get good range. I also tried it in a FMS P51 1,400 mm foamie, even with the antennae sticking out through holes in the fuselage I wasn't able to get more than 30 metres range. I'm hoping to try it on another model, perhaps even mounted externally. I've tried having the antennae forming an "L" shape, with the two active ends as far away from each other as possible. Unfortunately I haven't had success (yet) with the range. Hoping to be able to use this in another model (mounted externally?) To be honest, at this stage I wouldn't buy one again.
