This little device is so much better than the blue one also available here. This one delivers true 1 AMP and it doesn't get hot at all. (the other one goes only up to 600 mA). Starts up at voltage as low as 2.3 volts, delivering 4.4 volts at output. This is somehow below specs, so I went to 2.5 and got nice 5.08 at output. Great, and it stays there at all working input range. What is even more important, output voltage does not drop when load is connected. See pics for some proof :) Very cool little device. Shipping was quite slow though - over 4 weeks.

Very small unit. It is easy to build into a project. I unsolder the USB connector and wire directly to the output terminals. You can also header pins to make it suitable for solderless breadboards.

This product far exceeded by expectations. I had planned to use it as a backup in case my trusty MintyBoost failed, but when testing it I found that it surpassed the MintyBoost in many respects. It charges much faster - it really does meet the spec of 1A -- and works with a borderline battery that the MintyBoost claimed was too low a voltage. I've had no compatibility problems with my phone (Nexus 4) or electronics projects. I now use instead of the MintyBoost with a solar charger.

Conecté el módulo a una batería del tipo 18650 he hice un par de tests de carga en dos smartphones: Samsung Galaxy Y, Cubot GT99 El resultado fué desastroso, ahora, con sus cargadores respectivos, el Cubot se recarga cuando le parece bien y el Samsung ya no recarga (en servicio técnico). Para otro tipo de proyectos este módulo es perfecto pero para recargar teléfonos yo, personalmente lo desaconsejo
