ordered the 12W version (should be 1 amps) but with a 700 milliamps load the thermal overload protection is activated every few minutes and the led-lamp is switched off for about 30 seconds and then comes on again. this happens every few minutes. I now ordered the 24W version hoping this will work as it should.

Seems to do the job. The delivery was super fast. I replaced a unit from another vendor that happened to fry after one year or so. The old unit was specified for 3 amps but should have been enough in theory. Do not hesitate to order something with much higher current than you need. Especially if you install in the wall and the ventilation is poor. Those power supplies tend to overheat.

Fast delivery, hope this one works better than the 1 amp. The 1 amp version triggered it's thermal safety on a 700mA load every few minutes.

A nice power supply condensed in a very small space. you can hide it in any corner of your do-it-yourself gadget. No problems with dust or dirt.
