In my review of my first purchase of this item, I went into detail on its setup. The return to home feature saved my airplane once. That one model cost many times the less than forty dollars that I paid for the Sparrow. This order was for three more Sparrows. From now on all my RC airplanes will have a Sparrow in them. The piece of mind alone is worth the price. I'm sure I'll be ordering even more of them in the future if Banggood continues to stock them. It has been my experience that really good low priced items like this one are only available for a short period of time.

I used this FC on my Microbee, small wing plane. In RTH mode, the plane was climbing and circling automatically! I can release my finger from TX. I will put this on bigger plane next time.

I put the Sparrow in my Senior Telemaster. I was so impressed with how well the Stabilization and the RTH worked that I've ordered three more. I used one of my FlySky receivers on the Sparrow because it had the same channel order, but I could have just rearranged the connector pins and used a Spektrum. I had to rotate some of my servo arms 180 degrees to get the correct output direction. My throttle servo sits directly below my engine and could not be changed so I plugged it into a servo reverser. I set throttle and channel 5 to max travel (120% on my TX). Channel 5 switch UP (Stabilize), switch DOWN (RTH), middle (Manual). Set airframe type by pushing button for 1 sec. A four sec push remembers zero throttle and neutral stick positions. Powering on the Sparrow when at full throttle in Manual mode calibrates the ESC. (I included this step even though I use a glow engine) With the airplane level I moved both sticks to the outside lower corners, then while still pushing both sticks full down, I slid both toward the center inside lower corners. After this level calibration, I turned all three POTs fully clockwise. I had to back off both the ELE and AIL POTs about a quarter turn to get the control I desired. I think a new home position is set each time you power on the Sparrow.

This is the second purchase, but it is very easy to set up and features it's the best.

works well, good value fore money. instructions are not that clear, but got there in the end. GPS return to home works and is great if you loose FPV signal, just switch on and it climbs to 100m, and heads back to where it was powered up, (and GPS locked on) and circles around. I had to turn the ‘R’ down slightly (anti-clockwise) as the plane was oscillating up and down in GPS mode, but fine in stabilised mode. also had to change the throttle wire over on the receiver plug as it was in the wrong order for Spektrum / Orange RX receiver. just check each wire matches up with the corresponding port on your RX.
