I bought one of these just to check out the quality of the item as for the price, it costs less than half of what similar items sell for here. The quality is top notch on this item, I was really impressed with the design and the craftsmanship on it. All the seams are double stitched, they use a heavy duty canvass material throughout with a softer material on the inside. The plastic clasps and latches are excellent material and not the cheap brittle plastics that you find on a lot of these holders. As for holding a radio in place, you wont have to worry about the radio ever falling out on you. Once you strap it in, it is very secure. The belt holder is great, combining velcro and a metal snap to keep it secure on your belt. I've not used the body straps for this, but it allows you the ability to carry it any way you want while strapped around your upper body. Will be ordering more of these for use with the volunteer search and rescue group I am a part of. One note on the size of radio you can use with this. It will handle most all of the modern mid-sized and smaller radios on the market. If you still have the older large units, this would not be the item to use.

I'm not sure how I'm supposed to wear the three-strap thing but I don't care, I plan on wearing it on my belt and the belt strap looks strong. I'm buying another one for my other radio. I received it in 8 days with Priority Direct Mail, well within announced delays.
