Arrived safely, despite being very poorly packaged for what, in the end, is a fairly delicate piece of equipment. These relay boards are quite interesting. They use an 8051 core MCU on the main board as the master to control an ESP-01S wifi device. In other words, the WiFi co-processor has far more capability and performance than the host board. That said, they work well and since these are genuine LC Tech relay boards, have excellent support out there. After getting the board working with the ESP-01S standard AT firmware, I switched to a version of Tasmota using a blend of the instructions found here https://tasmota.github.io/docs/devices/LC-Technology-WiFi-Relay/. The board that I received used the Nuvoton MCU so used a combination of the rules for the older 4 STC-based relay board and newer two relay Nuvoton units. If you don't have the serial receive/send part in the rule set then the board will eventually work, but will take a long time to start up. Note that to work, the Tasmota firmware needs the board in the mode with the red light, not blue as you might expect. Once that is done, it will work flawlessly. All in all a good board. They have good isolation between the possibly mains voltages at the relay and are as compact as you could possibly hope for.
