I have had a soldering station for some time.. it is big and bulky and has only a soldering iron option. I bought this one because of the heat gun.. wasn't expecting too much but at least a more compact item. This heats up about the same time for the iron which is very quick on both. the heat gun is well made too. this is fantastic value at approx £24 i'll be using this one from now on.. PS the description says LCD soldering iron and did have photo of it with a display on the iron. It doesn't.. they have removed the photo of the iron with LCD displayed but the description still says LCD soldering iron..
