Other companies have tried to copy Woodpeckers' corner plane. The copies fail miserably. Hongdui has re-imagined the plane and taken it in a different direction. It holds two cutters at a time, and the cutters are carbide inserts. I am not good at sharpening, so replacable inserts are exciting to me. The throat is a bit large, so if not careful, the cutter can dig into the workpiece if the grain changes. It takes practice. It only has two profiles available, chamfer and 1/8" roundover, but those are the two most important. The materials used are first class, and the finish is excellent. I like it better than Woodpeckers' tool.
