The JJRC R2 Cady is a remote controlled robot for younger and older kids/men ;) From the looks it mimics the famous Nao robot from Softbank/Aldebaran and is build out of robust plastic. The robot's build-in battery can be charged via USB. The friendly robot can move, dance, speak and sing and is controlled over a small infrared remote control with 15 buttons for different actions. What is good is that the sound can be lowered and that you can even program an order of keystrokes. It also has a barrier sensor which prevents it from crashing into something. The sensor also allows gesture control for forward, backwards, left and right. Unfortunately the arms can't be controlled but move when walking. The hands can be closed and allow to hold/carry small things like a pen, etc. It would have been better to use a native English voice instead of a voice with Chinese dialect which is sometimes hard to understand ;). Maybe future versions would allow to install sound, voice-packs or little programs and would allow to control the robot via iOS or Android App. Nevertheless it is still a great toy with good quality for kids that love to have and control their own robot.
