I was hoping to use this to extend my 3d printer. Although it came packaged in a box and the rod was in PVC piping, when the box arrived on my doorstep the box was bent. The PVC pipe was bent coming out of the box. From end to middle it was bent more than 100 mm out of being straight. I've tried to straighten the rod but it will never be straight enough to use. If you can't live with 5 to 10 mm tolerance then don't purchase this. It will show up on your door step damaged beyond repair.

I ordered 3, and like in the previous comment, the PVC pipes were not enough strong to keep it safe during shipment. The 3 are crooked. I ordered also a 250mm long and it was OK. So, do not order long ones (or pray for a gentle shipment). Nuts are OK, but useless with crooked screws. The pitch is 4x2mm (8mm in fact).
