This knife opens into place with a satisfied lock. It will never close on your hand when you're using it. That is good. However, there is a major design problem with this knife. It opens too easily. I would only carry around this knife in a case. I would not hang it from a backpack or anything that moves around. It is safe to hang from a stationary hook. Casual vibration or movement of the knife may cause the blade to open and lock into place. This is not a desirable outcome. Do not set this knife as is inside a backpack or a duffel bag. There is the possibility of it opening and causing damage to your belongings or to you! If you need to carry this knife around, wrap some string around the blade to prevent it from opening, or as I said earlier, put it in a case. Banggood has a very nice selection of knives. I would take a pass on this one until the design engineer makes some revisions.
