It can be used for both proximity sensing to avoid collision & also for altitude hold for pixhawk & mini pix.The package also contains 4 different types of cable 2 for pixhawk & another 2 for mini pix. Connect the module to i2c port or telemetry port & in range finder menu set Maxbotix after that reconnect the flight controller & also set minimum range to 40 cm & maximum range to 450 cm & the module will start working. It doesnt work. Maybe it is defective. I connected with pixhawk and followed instructions and it doesnt show the height.
