This is a handy pruning saw, and works well. Having 2 batteries is a necessity for prolonged use. However, the instruction manual with it leaves much to be desired. It covers 3 different models with different attachments, but only describes how to assemble the basic saw itself. Despite having some mechanical background, it took me some time to work out how to attach the spring-loaded guard. I eventually discovered the hole in the body in which to insert the spring. It also gives no information on how to maintain the chain tension, which will loosen very quickly on first use (that's normal), and makes no mention of any oiling needed to prolong the life of the chain. It obviously does not have an automatic oil feed like bigger saws (and it could not be expected to). I have full chainsaw experience, but am concerned that a user with no prior experience may not get the full life of the chain.
