This switch works well with smart devices which have the "flex switch" function. These are mostly the mesh devices but is seems that Yellight 1S also have this function. Otherwise, the switch doesn't worth the money, you can buy cheaper from the market and better looking than this one.

Can you please share with me the cheaper light switches that you are mentioning (indirectly)?
I have started renovating my home and I would like to have a look at other light switches as well.
