Laurie I do not have this helicopter, but there is a link to the manual on the product page above. On the page of the manual titled "Introduction to Transmitter Function" it says there is a button on the transmitter which will change the mode if you press it when powering up the transmitter. I do have the Eachine E129, and that is exactly the way the mode change works on that one. So whether you order the Mode 1 or the Mode 2 version, you can always switch to the other mode. The only difference between them is which mode is activated by default when you power up.
