ActionMan Yes, it will *try* to power itself over HDMI, but most devices don't allow that to happen, so you need to plug the USB cable into something to power them. I'm currently using a little USB-C hub -- where the glasses' HDMI+USB goes into the Hub, then the Hub's USB-C cable goes into my PC for power+video+audio.

Absolutely amazing little (big) machine. I was expecting low performance because it's a handheld, but it's surprisingly powerful. I have a fairly powerful RTX 2070 gaming desktop, but I'm spending more time gaming on the XPlayer now! The good parts: * Performance is great on 5+ year old games. Modern will games require low settings (not 2k resolution - 720p to 900p!). * The huge screen is beautiful! * With a charger, keyboard, mouse and external monitor, it's totally usable as a regular workstation. * It's not mentioned anywhere, but it works with Surface style active pens with pressure support! One Netbook sells a cheap/good one. * Decent battery life given this level of performance. The bad parts: * It's huge and heavy. That's the downside of having that beautiful screen... Sitting in some poses will make your arms numb after a long gaming session, so, it takes some adjusting to! * No thunderbolt support on this AMD model. * Expensive... * Noisy fans. You might want to use headphones. The ugly parts: * The thumbsticks have great hardware, but there's some kind of huge deadzone (in the drivers??) which makes them unusable for first person shooters ... To actually be able to aim, I have to pair an Xbox or PlayStation controller via Bluetooth. Seriously, if you want it for first person shooters, or games with aiming on the sticks, they're unplayable without using an external controller. Hopefully this can be fixed with new drivers in the future?? * The on screen keyboard is a bit weird at first, but the "ReplaceOSK" utility can fix it.

ActionMan Furthercomments: * The speakers are wired backwards (so left is right and right is left). * You have to be *very careful* powering them. Plugging in HDMI only will try to power them from the HDMI port, which is disallowed by the spec and will cause some signal sources to turn themselves off! * If you unplug the HDMI signal *before* you unplug the USB power, the display will go crazy and display corrupt images! After doing this, the display can show signs of damage, such as "burn-in" and flickering, but mine seemed to recover after an hour of being left on a static image... * Large areas in the corners of a 1920x1080 image are hidden. * Small areas in the corners of a 1680x1050 image are hidden. * 1600x1600 (the actual display resolution) is not supported!? For the price though, it's still acceptable if you're willing to dance around these major flaws :D

ActionMan Yeah 1920x1080 works, but you lose a lot in the corners. 1680x1050 also works and only loses a tiny bit of the corners. Unfortunately the display's actual resolution of 1600x1600 doesn't seem to be supported...

ActionMan They only have a HDMI input (and USB-A for power). You could use any VTX receiver that has HDMI output (but sometimes that's bad for latency).
