Q: Is there also a kit to solder available? Thx

rupe01 Not that i know of.......unless you make your own. I think DiodeGoneWild did that. Way beyond my expertise. But this tool does work pretty well.

rupe01 Yes, it will work fine.....but make sure you watch your amps! You could easily go over 3 amps and burn it out. Use an ammeter.

rupe01 Yes, they are only for if you mount it inside a project box, the you fit them to the potentiometers and the board. You can use it either way.

rupe01 I have had it happen, yes. The first time one of the op-amps was bad (always use sockets! Also, i recommend UA741's instead). The second time i blew the big white shunt resistor (It pays to keep spares). If you aren't using a heat sink and fan, i highly recommend that you do. I have about ten of these little kits and love building and using them! Hope this helps.

rupe01 You could just solder in a 200mA polyfuse instead and it will never blow again, as they are self-healing. For the 10A fuse, you know it doesnt have to be anything special....any 10A fuse will work......or again use a polyfuse!

rupe01 I use a small project box (slick surface) filled with lead weights. Works great, even leaned way over!
