phraxas Not really useful to hit sideways. The force is delivered when extending. Easy to know which end to be careful of.

phraxas No, the lines around the hose intake port are for exhaled air. All ports have flow direction check valves.

phraxas Yes. The mask has also has inlet ports on each side of the mask that can attach bayonet 3M trapezoidal filters. They have covers for air pump operation. The included filter is a simple canister of activated charcoal which can be disassembled to replace charcoal.

phraxas The battery driven squirrel cage fan is "whisper" quiet. The mask is not suitable for safety goggles. It has taken scratches just from my metal glasses inside the mask. The vision plastic may be replaceable, but replacement masks are available. For covid, I recommend it but plan on adding N95 filter material into the charcoal filter canister (which can be disassembled by screw thread top).

phraxas Yes. The LED strips are the same as the ones that come in 10 meter rolls. Those consist of sets of current limiting SMD resistors for 3 SMD LEDs in a group. The dimmers simply adjust the 12 VDC supply's period to control illumination. I hope this isn't too technical.

phraxas This is a BUCK regulator and is unable to supply 12VDC out with only 12VDC input. It requires a higher voltage input to work. BUCK regulators typically need a minimum of 1.1x the output voltage as input. based on this unit's specifications, it seems that input needs to be ~4.5V DC higher than the output.

phraxas It has an amplifier controlled by one of the rotary knobs. You could connect straight to speaker connections on the board or the stereo headphone jack.
