On the pictures above of the lamp looks a little bit bigger than it actually is. From the pictures you can suggest that the two brightness levels are achieved by lighting the LEDs in groups of two, but actually all 4 LEDs are lit, but they just got dimmer and brighter. With 3 fully charged AAA rechargeable batteries the lamp runs at max power for about 2 hours, after that the light gradually gets dimmer and it lasts for about 24 hours (though not usable at the end). Overall -- a good purchase for the price.

I bought this to attach to a drill press. It does light up the work area and is able to minimise shade problems. I can see where a center punched hole is in a box where the sides normally shadow what I want to see. Having two light level settings is an asset and battery power is no problem because the duty cycle is low. I only need to have it on when making holes.
