The encoder is very small, should fit on most quadcopter builds 180mm or bigger with ease. I have not actually tested it yet but i fully expect there to be zero issues. Seems very good quality.
I bought this and was thinking it would fit into this product http://www.banggood.com/Pixhawk-PX4-2_4_8-Flight-Controller-32-Bit-ARM-PX4FMU-PX4IO-Combo-for-Multicopters-p-1040416.html?rmmds=search and thinking that it would fit into the RCIN section. it doesn't. I'm guessing I'm gonna have to make my cables somehow. On the picture it can fit into a pixracer. So, either remove the word pixhawk in the name or provide a cable is your best option.
How to save wiring you can multiplex with PPM 8 channel Input 3pin Output 5V power Supply Fast Delivery by BG
ideal to convert any PWM receiver to output a PPM signal. very small board, nice for DIY projects...
Конвертер конвертирует PWM сигнал в PPM. Использовано на приёмнике Корона с Naze32. Сигнал запаздывает, есть задержка в пол секунды.
After upgrading the FC on one of my hexacopters I realised that the new one was PPM only. I couldn't find a way to get a camera gimbal to work from FC outputs, So I was stuck. Then I saw these. This allows me to convert 8 of my 10 channels into PPM and still use the last 2 as PWM for the servos. I was worried that this might cause lag in the PPM output, But after a little play with this, I've come to the conclusion that this converter works so close to instantly that I can't tell it's in the loop. I cut the original Pixhawk output plug off and crimped on a servo plug for the F3 I'm using. It took next to no setup (Just tell the TX to output PWM and the converter does the rest). So, If you need a mix of PPM and PWM outputs, Then this is a great option.
converts pwm to ppm signal allowing me to use an outdated radio and receiver with all the new flight controllers
