Surprisingly light given the thickness and the edges are a nice bright gold. Took off a star because I'd rather it had been blank rather than have a naff inscription on the front. Also surprisingly, it takes fountain pen ink without feathering and very little show through on the other side.

Beautiful book, the paper edges are fully covered in gold color (it makes your hands a little glittery the first few uses), the quote isn't that terribly misspelled it really passes for the average person. Pages are thick and probably suitable for wet mediums, plus it's an insane amount of pages, if filled this book will look incredibly impressive.
