PRASHEED this is not the problem with Crystal and DS 1307 chip, I am also facing this same problem.when I run this clock with internal battery (without getting display) the time is perfect, when i connected to a usb (5volt) power supply clock gains 24 minute / day. I am searching a solution for this, if any one can help me please do.

Q: what type of display is dot matrix

PRASHEED Yes this is a dotmatrix display. each module having 5 hotizontal and 7 vertical led (5x7) like that 3 module, minimum working voltage is 3.5volt.
