TraceyMc66 Like most printers, the Ender 3 doesn't have any specific hardware that could prevent or stop thermal runaway.

TraceyMc66 Hi John, you maybe able to print a stamp with PLA, ABS or other type of filament but not laser one sorry. Unless there is an attachment you can but that fit it but to be honest I'm unsure about this, you would have to google it. Sorry not much help I'm afraid. Tracey x

However, PLA will only decompose in the correct conditions. It needs a temperature of at least 60C (140F), oxygen, and moisture (source).It is compatible with most 3D printers using extrusion 3D printing technology. Unlike ABS, PLA is a biodegradable material. Thanks to its non-toxicity, PLA can also be used to 3D print objects that will be in contact with food. Hope this helps.

BG141018914 I'm really sorry I can't help with this as I'm extremely new to 3d printing and this is my very first machine, which is awesome by the way. Done my first practice print last night and it came out perfect, well on 2nd attempt as the filament was tangled on the reel on first run.
