The keeper for the bits is very small, so time will tell how it lasts, but bits are able to be inserted without resistance, and it even holds the short stubby bits! It currently lives on my impact driver 24/7.

I power this little wonder with a 19.5v power supply, and it is quite the workhorse. It definitely struggles with pumping enough heat into big joints like 12 AWG wire, or a large terminal on a board, but if you give it flux and enough time, it will get there. I run mine around 360C most of the time, and bump it up to 380C for really big joints. Just make sure to keep that tip clean, and it should last for ages. I loaded the newer/better firmware no problem at all, and since I'm a lefty, I reversed the display. I have only had crappy unregulated irons before this, and thought I was just really bad at soldering; not so! I was just using junk tools!

They came super sharp, and took sharpening well. I had to tweak the angle of the blades just a bit, but that's no big deal. A good buy at this price!

Each of the 4 hanks I ordered had at least one pull where the core strands had come through the sheath, but for my application (making bracelets), it's not a big deal. The colors are pretty good. Time will tell how colorfast they are. I will probably buy more when I run out.
