kozmix It can do both but the output voltage drops significantly when charging, in my case from 5.15V to 4.8V. This might be an issue for power hungry devices.

Heatsink runs hot very quickly when running a 100W LED at full power, so the cooling fan is definitely needed. It probably still runs the LED quite hot, so I think this heatsink is more suited for LEDs under 100W. There shouldn't be any problem if the 100W LED is activated for short intervals. This is a handy complete package with reflector, lens and mounting screws. Don't forget that you may need a buck convertor to run the fan as this needs 12V while the LED may require more. Note that the included lens rather has a 90° angle, certainly not as narrow as 20° as specified. A 60° beam angle lens can be ordered separately at Banggood, that one has a far more narrow beam (also that lens is much thicker). Reflector and lens holder are a bit fragile so mount them carefully. Still, this is a great value package that will suit many needs.

I received the wrong product (uses 6xAAA batteries instead of USB chargeable built-in battery). Currently trying to resolve this with Support.

Great car and a lot of fun for the price. So far turns out to be quite durable, although I read a lot of comments about people stripping gears. I haven't tortured mine that much (yet) so we'll see how well it holds up. One important comment though: THROW AWAY THE ORIGINAL BATTERY! It is nowhere near the advertised capacity of 1500mAh. It's only around 750 (verified by capacity tester, so it's likely made of those "fake" 18650 cells). So do buy some extra batteries (of a good brand) and then you can run it for much more than just a few minutes. Still a great deal for the price though!

Mine appears to have arrived with a defective battery, as it hardly shines when on battery power (although the green charging light suggests the battery should be full). Currently working with after-sales support, but this doesn't give me a good impression on product quality. Besides that, the product looks promising. The brightness (in my case with USB cable plugged in) is very good so this light will be really useful once I get the battery issue fixed

These are proper Samsung Li-ion batteries which achieve their advertised capacity, in contrast to some of the other brands sold on this website. So while these are more expensive, they deliver their true capacity. If you need an 18650, buy these! Note: these are flat-top batteries, so they do not properly connect if you place them in series. (putting a flat magnet between them helps as workaround)

Don't forget that you'll need M4 screws to bolt this onto the heatsink. Specified beam angle of 60° looks correct. Reflector and lens holder are a bit fragile so mount them carefully. Great value product for many lighting projects!

The quality leaves much to be desired. Wire cross section is too small. A maximum of 2 mm² for proper operation and stabilization of conductors must be at least 6 mm² capacitors may also not correspond to the required parameters. Description of the listing out in the functions carried out only part of it.

kozmix I have the same results on both 100W modules I purchased :-(

I got the 100W unit and it's far below the claimed performance. When connected to the 100W COB chip it drops from 41V no load to just 29.9V feeding only 1.2A to the chip which equals merely 36W. Far less than the chip can deliver. Now, when I connect it to a 37V LiPo battery it can nicely stay at 36.4V and consume 4.6 Amps. So... the chip is perfectly capable of reaching the claimed rating and is unarguably brighter.

You can also run them at slightly lower voltage so they run much cooler while still giving a lot of light output. For this reason you may consider a higher model than you need so you don't have to run them at full power.

Only did limited testing so far. This board has a lot of power, I'm using it to drive multiple 100W COB LEDs. The current limiting feature only works starting 4A and upwards.

The aluminium is fairly soft, so this heatsink arrives with the fins bent around the edges. Can be pushed in place again very easily.

While cheap, these guys don't provide the advertised amount of power (see other reviews as well). The 100W model gives me just 29,4V at 1,2A (so around 35W). I haven't been able to try it yet on a lower power LED, so possible you can use the 100W model to power a 50W LED and so on. Just be aware these power supplies only supply around 1/3 of the rated power.
