Steelydanfan It is a KIT. All RC plane KITS do NOT include engine, servos, etc. YOU are LOOKING for a Plug n Play, ARF, RTF, ANY version but a KIT. KITS are the plane ONLY. ALL KITS. Not just this one. ALL KITS are the bare minimum.

Steelydanfan The other answer given to you is incorrect. I have read enough of these FrSky descriptions to know that the Black/White versions ($10 cheaper) , the Black/White versions have a self centering throttle that you would have to open up the back of the transmitter to release the spring to make it a normal throttle for fixed wing plane use, as an example. Most buyers will want Mode 2 with the left throttle non-centered (spring off). There are simple instructions available on You Tube on how to make the throttle non-centering. I have watched them myself. A 5 minute deal.

Steelydanfan Shorter range and no telemetry than the Taranis Q X7 makes this transmitter a poor choice. I already have the FlySky i6-X and that radio has no telemetry and GREAT RANGE with the same receiver as you have. Telemetry is the only thing on my wish list right now. I think you just helped me make my decision. Thank you.

Q: Are they clockwise or counter clockwise?

perguntado por hayatullahsina sobre 2018-08-30 02:41:56

Steelydanfan With a brushless motor such as this one, the motor will run normally in either direction. YOU control the direction of motor rotation by swapping connections on 2 of 3 motor wires or via your ESC programming, most will change the direction of motor travel. IF YOU DO NOT undestand this response, you seriously need to do your homework before you fly, because you are not ready. Understand ??????????

Steelydanfan Good for you. I have ordered three different ARF foam kits from Banggood, the 1st arrived perfect, just as you described. The 2nd one lacked the 1/8" foam around the box, just white plastic. The 3rd plane kit was the worst , no foam, no white plastic, just some tape, a shipping label , and there you go. There were holes on both ends of the box. I had to hot water one of the wing tips to get it back in line. In all three cases I paid extra for insurance. Banggood sucks at fragile shipping.

Steelydanfan Exactly why I do not order RC planes from Banggood any longer. I have had excellent luck with all of the accessories, servos, receivers, motors, yada yada, but Banggood has their collective head up their behind when it comes to shipping large boxes , as in RC airplane foam kits. Go somewhere else for the peace of mind.

I bought this plane on a Friday, received shipping confirmation on Monday, had it delivered on Wednesday, and in the air by Thursday. (Shipped from US warehouse via standard shipping through USPS. It didn't appear to be handled by DHL at all.) I cringed as the delivery guy walked up to my door with a large "bag" package. Surprisingly, there was no damage in shipping aside from a downward-bent tailing edge area of the central wing piece (used for the full 2.6m build.) Going for ease of transport, I opted to do my initial build in 1.6m format using Brian Phillips' build series of YouTube videos on this plane; I didn't use the manual at all. Highly recommend you do the same! *I'm using 3S 45C 2200mah LiPo packs. Each weighs 190 grams. *In 1.6m, center of gravity sits between 67~70mm from the leading edge at the wing root. *There are two screws on each of the front sides of the fuselage that hold the plywood battery tray in place. Remove each screw, pull out the tray, and remove the massive weight that is placed at the front of the tray if you intend to use this for powered flight. (I guess it would be necessary for smaller battery packs or pure gliding configurations?) When mounting the tray back in place, don't use the previous holes in the tray; mount it as aft as possible if you'll be using 3S packs. I was able to use the same screws to re-fasten the battery tray without any drilling. *The ESC brake is off by default. There are several forum posts and videos that can instruct on setting the brake for smooth gliding and damage-free landing. (Search "volantex esc brake set".) *The factory dimpling for control horn orientation on the rudder is deceptive. The larger servo in the fuselage is for the elevator. On mine (facing the back of the plane), the elevator control is on the left, and rudder is on the right. *If you watch the Brian Phillips build series, you'll note that he makes a few improvements for the vertical stabilizer after the maiden flight. Just as he did, I used hot glue to adhere the stabilizer to the fuselage to prevent it from fluttering. He also adds a hinge near the rudder control horn and attaches it to the fuselage. I didn't go this route. Instead, I reinforced the existing foam hinge on the rudder (and all other control surfaces) using packing tape; placing extra emphasis on the rudder's "weak spot."

Q: what i wiil need to assemble when i get the plane?

perguntado por tiv1212 sobre 2018-03-24 01:44:52

Steelydanfan You also need to assemble and glue the tail surfaces, I don't understand why people are giving the wrong answers on this question. It's NOT just the wings that need to assembled ! The tail surfaces need to be glued as well ! Important step, trial fit to verify accuracy first.

Steelydanfan You can use hot glue , all foam models can be safely glued with hot glue gun. Check out Andrew Newton's review of the Sky Surfer assembly on You Tube. It works, I have assembled several RC foam planes. Quick and easy, also economical.

Steelydanfan Agree with you 100%. The only thing I have done to alleviate the shipping damage from Banggood is to pay a couple of bucks extra for insurance, they wrapped my box with foam material which likely saved me, the box itself was a mess but no damage. Insurance also allows you to track the package from the moment it leaves China.

Steelydanfan You can use a hot glue gun, works very well. There are You Tube videos on the assembly of this very plane by Andrew Newton. I believe he also covers the CG, which is usually about the location of the wing spars under the wing. Mark the spots under the wing with a hot glue gun and go from there. It should be slightly nose heavy when you pick the plane up with the battery ( and everything) installed. You can adjust the CG from there by moving the battery forward if needed.

Q: how many channels of the plane?

perguntado por OAK sobre 2018-04-11 04:32:16

Steelydanfan 4 channels: ailerons, elevator, throttle, rudder. A 4 CH transmitter and compatible receiver would be the minimum. I have a 6CH transmitter/receiver to allow for more mixing options such as flaperons, I would recommend a 6CH combo.

Steelydanfan You definitely should contact Banggood. You lost some parts through that hole. I paid $1.30 extra for insurance from Banggood and they shrink wrapped the box as well as tracked it for me, worth it in my opinion.

Steelydanfan I agree, Andrew Newton rocks. I am just getting started in RC airplanes. I ordered the Dynam Hawksky based on his favorable review. Very similar to this plane.
